Level gates #

Updated for game update #110 (merged 5 October 2026): From Hall level 6, the four producers need level N−2 instead of N−1, and Walls are only required at Hall levels 10, 15, 20 and 25.

The Town Center Hall starts at level 1. Up to level 5, upgrading it to level N requires Farm, Lumber Camp, Quarry, Iron Mine, and Walls at N−1. From level 6, the four producers need N−2, and Walls need N−1 only at Hall levels 10, 15, 20, and 25. Other buildings require the Hall at their target level; Castle also requires Hall level 15 for its first construction. Maximum building level is 25.

Costs and timing #

The first Farm, Quarry, Lumber Camp, and Warehouse are free. Other prices scale by building and target level; Metal begins at target level 10. Walls have their own Wood/Stone price order. The level tables show the current exact cost and base duration before VIP.

Queues and cancellations #

A city can have two construction orders running. A canceled construction order returns 50% of its paid resources. Completion and production continue during offline time.

Rules reference. Values come from the game rules at revision 999310651f (snapshot e5f090b681, checked 5 October 2026). Changes applied since then: Town Center Hall upgrades need fewer producer levels (update #110; source: backend/server.py upgrade_requirements() and HALL_WALL_MILESTONES at e737bc7 (commit 1e93341)). Base values exclude conditional bonuses such as VIP and active monuments. Numbers can change between playtest updates.
