Eligibility and expiry #

Corrected: The current game has no “Explore as a guest” option; only villages created before it was removed can still be recovered.

Newly registered accounts receive five days of new-player protection from registration. Existing accounts are not retroactively given a new period, and villages created through the retired guest mode never received the registration shield. The game shows the protected status and expiry; protection ends exactly at its expiry timestamp.

Player attacks #

Protected players cannot be targets of land or naval player attacks. A protected sender must explicitly confirm losing their own protection before dispatching a player attack. A successfully dispatched attack ends the shield permanently; recalling it does not restore it. Invalid or rejected dispatches do not remove protection.

Safe activities #

Barbarian and pirate PvE, and scouting, do not end protection. The shield is a player-attack restriction, not a resource-production or building bonus, and not a ban on scouting a protected city. The server rechecks target protection at arrival and cancels a now-protected target without combat or loot.

Rules reference. Values come from the game rules at revision 999310651f (snapshot e5f090b681, checked 5 October 2026). Changes applied since then: Guest play has been retired from the client (correction; source: client commit 9d2d31d (11 September 2026) removed the guest button; scripts/auth_screen.gd at e737bc7). Base values exclude conditional bonuses such as VIP and active monuments. Numbers can change between playtest updates.
